2010 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Our 2010 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is on the 2nd appellation wine we've made from the RRV. Other than the extreme heatwaves of late August and early September, it was one of the coolest years we've ever seen. The crop size was limited by late spring rains and cool, windy weather, so we ended up with much less fruit than we anticipated. The 2010 August West RRV PN is made up of 67% Treehouse Vineyard and 33% Graham Family Vineyard.
Aged in 40% new French oak barrels, we bottled the 2010 Russian River Pinot in July 2011. We recommend holding onto this wine until at least mid 2012, and probably into 2013, to allow it to develop in the bottle.
