2018 Peterson Vineyard Pinot Noir
In Stock
2018 was a spectacular vintage for the entire state of California, and the Santa Lucia Highlands vineyards had their best year since 2012. The Peterson Vineyard was planted in 2007, with its 9th crop coming in 2018. After a late start for budbreak, everything was about 3 weeks later than "normal," including bloom, veraison and harvest. Under pristine conditions, the fruit was picked during the second week of October, one of the latest years for Peterson.
Our 2018 Peterson Vineyard Pinot Noir combines the elegance of this site with the ripeness and perfection of the 2018 vintage. Always our most aromatically-pleasing Pinot, the fragrance of the cool Santa Lucia Highlands terroir comes through in the nose followed by a lush and round palate. This should be at its best from 2020 through 2025.
